Riti, an SRCC alumnus, is a best-selling author, two-time CBSE national topper, lawyer, and content creator. Her Instagram handle, @learnenglishwithriti, is one of the fastest-growing English learning platforms in the country.
Riti’s journey in the education sector traces itself back to her early days. As a young girl, she was directly involved in the workings of her family publishing house, thanks to her father’s continuous encouragement. From the age of thirteen, she went on to compile, edit and co-author over a hundred books for her father’s brand, all within seven years. From there on, she never lost touch with both learning and teaching. After obtaining her LLB and LLM degrees, she started teaching law.
However, throughout her association with the education sector, Riti continuously found herself gravitating toward the English language in particular. When she noticed that a lot of people around her were making fundamental errors in their usage of the language, the idea struck her: Why not create a community of fellow learners to unlearn all that has been learnt haphazardly over the years and start learning, systematically, all over again? It was in this moment of epiphany that she finally realised what her true calling was—teaching English to the masses. Given that Riti realised this only during the COVID-19 lockdown, social media was the most appropriate platform for her endeavours. As a consequence, she started her Instagram handle in July 2020, which now commands an active and growing audience of 500k followers.
Today, after personally and closely working with over 4500 students in the last three years through courses and workshops and learning all about their pain points and blind spots, Riti has mastered the art of creating content that helps her students think, speak and feel as though English is their mother tongue. Recognised & credited for her academic acumen by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2010, learning English with Riti, famously enough, is as easy and enjoyable as it gets.
